VOLUNTEER
- Sara's previous work
Sarabeth has worked with Hope Worldwide Philippines, a non-profit, non-government, faith-based charity that has been caring for needy children and youth in the Philippines*:
- She has coordinated fundraising $5000 for baskets of food & personal gifts for Children & Families in Tacloban and Guiuan, Philippines (site of 2013 Super typhoon Haiyan). The settlement in Tacloban is called permanent housing for Typhoon Haiyan survivors built by the National Housing Authority (NHA).
-Taught emotional health to a group of girls at what we call "Camp HOPE" for children. Its a therapeutic camp for children who had previous traumatic experiences (e.g. physically and sexually abused children, orphans, victims of natural disaster) and currently undergoing counseling and or therapy with our staff. It is still a young program and we just started doing it last 2013.
